on August 30, 1974, in Modasa, Shah's life took a transformative turn at the
tender age of one. His family emigrated to the United States in 1975, settling
in the quaint town of Sterling, Illinois. Despite the geographical distance,

visits to their homeland.

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he earned a BS in Mechanical
Engineering, and the University of Maryland, from where he obtained an MBA.

by a deep-seated passion for harnessing solar energy, Shah's career trajectory

studies, he joined BP Solar, accepting a position that paid half the industry
standard salary. This deliberate choice was motivated by his unwavering

gaining invaluable industry experience at BP Solar, Shah founded SunEdison in
2003, with a vision to accelerate the adoption of clean energy solutions

lakhs towards the installation of solar panels at a new eye hospital in Vatrak.
