KARTAVYA - Chapter : 19

Chapter 19:

“It's easy to be an I.P.S than being Sanjay Kharat”

One can attain the high perch by hard work, but after gaining the highest pinnacle of success, it becomes difficult to stay connected to the ground. Maintaining a simple nature after acquiring a commanding position is not a piece of cake as we believe.

Today we are going to give voice about one such accomplished IPS officer who’s comfortably approachable by everyone and hence criminals tremble in fear just by his name and he is none other than Mr. Sanjay Kharat. Despite being him a senior executive, his naturalness is heart touching. He is a Man of heroism, decency, courtesy and humanity more notably a literature lover. Aravalli district is truly fortunate to have such a brilliant Superintendent of Police whose pragmatic approach has constructed a distinctly positive atmosphere in the entire district. The citizens experience protection, tranquillity and security while the wrong doers palpitate with fear by just the considerable name of ‘KHAKHI’. Such a marvellous job he has done!

Eventually, the name of KHAKHI makes one twitched. A few have incidental experience of the police. Notwithstanding, the grounds behind Police’s poor image is the upshot of TV serials and movies. The media highlights the cases of bribery and corruptions mostly. But the gallant stories of the police department are seldom published in the news. That’s the true reason for the hollowness between the police and the citizens what keeps up growing. Any department may have some stories of corruption and unscrupulousness, but how fair is it to stigmatise the entire department because of those handful of people? Amidst the immense negativity spread all over the society, there are a number of honest and hard-working officers who set such an example that the name of the entire department shines.

Mr. Sanjay Kharat has taken the charge as Superintendent of Police of Aravalli district about three years ago. The work he has done in the Aravalli district in such a short period of three years is really praiseworthy. Under his leadership, the anti-social elements, smugglers and criminals began to shudder in the name of Aravalli District Police. Several notorious contrabandists are behind the bars today. Numerous complex cases have been solved with tactfully and courteously. Mr. Sanjay Kharat has led the way for the entire police world of Gujarat by being firm for not only the wrongdoers from outside but also the corrupt officers within the department.

Yes, Mr. Kharat is tough for the law brakers, yet he is tender-hearted. Generally, his office always welcomes to a commoner. Any complainant without any identity or status can feel free to make their complaint there. He listens to the appellant and works wholeheartedly to resolve the protest. His way of working is unique. As the proverbs says, “Straight trees are cut first.”, he, too, has to tackle many conflicts while performing his duty honestly. Even in awkward predicament, he remained stoical and attentive to his duty, even more he carried on working for truth and justice. Correspondingly, he procured such immense adoration from the people that the entire district stood by him at critical times. What greater reward could there be for an officer than the immense love of the citizens!

Mr. Sanjay Kharat, with his humanitarian approach, has done many great deeds out of his service area. He has organized a blood donation camp for children suffering from thalassemia during the lockdown and collected a large number of bottles of blood and spread the fragrance of humanity. Even amidst a very busy schedule, he pays attention to everyone who has come to him, comforts and helps them in every possible way. In the police profession, one has to face a constant stressful situation. However, Mr. Kharat's smile never gets fade. He is a truly positivity-filled energetic personality who greets everyone, young and old gleefully. Other officers should also learn the lesson of efficiency from him.

Even though he is the Chief of  District Police, the simplicity  of his  nature is uplifting.  The district is proud to have received such a sincere and profond  officer.
